Warehouse Order Picker - Second Shift - 2 Needed
Job Description
A food distribution company is seeking Warehouse/Order Pickers who will pick and stage orders for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. These are second shift positions starting at 4 p.m. and finishing when all orders are completed.
Duties:
- Process orders for shipping by pulling items, palletize, wrap, and stage for shipping
- Maintain and organized dock area to ensure proper loading and safety
- Maintain quality in the warehouse and immediately report damaged product or equipment to the Warehouse Manager
- Keep shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat, clean shipping supply area, and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year order picking experience with forklift certification
- RF Scanner experience is preferred but not required
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions and match orders on shipping tickets to items picked
- Must have the ability to identify product by size, type, or product code
- Must possess basic math and reasoning skills
- The ability to work as a team member is needed
- Must be able to lift up to 85 pounds, be comfortable working in a cool/cold temperature, and stand, walk, lift, pull, and push for 6 to 8 hours each day
