Tool Room Attendant - First/Second Shifts
Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking a Tool Room Attendant to plan, direct, and coordinate all tooling aspects of the manufacturing processes in the plant and ensure that tooling is available on time for production. There is an opening on both first and second shifts.
Job Duties:
- Manage the tool quantity process
- Negotiate pricing and terms and award business to appropriate vendor
- Schedule tool deliveries to ensure tools will be on time to support production and placed in the proper area when received from vendor
- Track tool movement from the time the purchase order is placed, the tools are received, the tools are stocked, and the tools are consumed in production
- Manage the purchasing and receiving of all MRO items, follows SBP-04 Purchasing Process, and maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion
- Understand the Company's Environmental and Quality Policies, environmental aspects, their contribution to our Environmental Management System, and the implications of not conforming to the Environmental Management System
- Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
- Must be trained or become familiar with ISO9001/IATF16949/ISO14001 procedures relative to the SBP-04 Purchasing Process
- Must have computer knowledge; ERP System training will be provided
- In-house training regarding tooling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climb movable stairs
- Must be able to follow all company policies
- Must have the ability to promote a safe working environment
