SolidWorks Designer - Short-term

Job Description
A local design firm is seeking a Mid to High-level SolidWorks Designer who will be responsible for designing and developing machine components using SolidWorks CAD Software. This is a temporary assignment for about 6 months, working first shift from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Duties:
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of machine components using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing teams
- Create and review engineering drawings and documentation
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance
- Optimize existing designs to enhance performance and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
- At least 3 years of experience in designing machine components preferred
- Must be able to develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of machine components
- Must be proficient using SolidWorks Software and other CAD Software
- Must have the ability to optimize existing designs to enhance performance and efficiency
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills while paying a high attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills are needed
