Job Description

A local logistics company is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to prepare all inbound and outbound paperwork, record all information accurately and timely for all shipments, and ensure all items received and shipped are accurately accounted for.  There is an opening on both first and second shifts.

Job Duties:

  • Schedule all inbound and outbound orders
  • Record and file shipment data and validate loading documents
  • Verify shipping information is correct
  • Schedule LTLs for pick-up and process shipment orders
  • Print labels using UPS Wordship & FedEx Websites
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies, update dally reports, inbound, and outbound logs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse, and promote teamwork
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must have 1 to 2 years Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse experience
  • Forklift experience is a plus; however, if not, you must successfully complete training and requirements to operate a forklift
  • Must have Microsoft Office experience
  • Must have strong communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must have the ability to work in both hot and cold environments
  • Must have the ability to follow all OSHA and MSDS Standards
  • Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
