Shear Operator - 2 Needed
Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking individuals who will shear and transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Manage raw material inventory
- Measure and shear sheet metal to size according to various production requirements
- Load and unload material from storage locations using an overhead crane and forklift
- Complete manufacturing paperwork and ERP transactions to issue materials and ensure traceability requirements are met
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Must have experience reading blueprints and engineering drawings and be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Must have the ability to differentiate metal types and thicknesses
- Must have strong measurement, basic reading, and shop math skills
- Must be able to pay a strong attention to detail
- Must have knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must be able to work independently and effectively communicate with other departments
- Must frequently lift and/or move items over 40 pounds
- Must have the motivation to learn and develop within the organization
- Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
