Job Description

We are seeking a Payroll & Retirement Plans Analyst who will be responsible for preparing payroll analyses, monitoring benefits accounting, timely and accurate processing of the company’s payroll, and understanding company pension and benefit plans. Additionally, you will oversee all financial, accounting, and human resource activities.  You will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate onboarding and payroll setup for all new hires, verify the accuracy of termination pay and all final payments, and administer payroll taxes in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Review employee timecards for accuracy and completeness, and assist in payroll preparation to ensure timely and precise processing of all payroll transactions, including salaries, overtime, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions
  • Oversee the accurate entry and administration of leave of absence tracking and related payments, prepare analyses of payroll transactions, employee demographics, and insurance data
  • Prepare and analyses general ledger transactions related to payroll, assist with the processing of changes to pension contributions, prepare monthly payments to benefits providers, reconcile invoices by verifying headcounts and enrollments, and prepare and track insurance payments for unit partners
  • Serve as a resource to employees, provide guidance, resolve payroll-related inquire, assist with annual audits, review and approve cellular device and credit card fee payments for partners and employees
  • Prepare ad hoc payroll reporting and analyses as required, maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations and reporting requirements, including multi-state payroll compliance
  • Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with Payroll, HR, and Finance teams, and maintain strict confidentiality of client information, as well as internal and personnel affairs
  • Build relationships and foster collaboration with internal clients across practice groups and management, demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work varied hours to accomplish all company needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience processing payroll in an HRIS/Payroll system; ADP Workforce experience preferred
  • Must be well versed in Excel, utilizing VLOOKUPs and formulae
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Must have strong analytical skills, be an organized self-starter who is detail-oriented and has a "first in service" attitude
  • Must prioritize detail and accuracy and have a customer first mentality
  • Must always be versatile, professional, and respectful
