We are seeking a Mold Set-up Technician to perform duties related to exchanging molds in injection molding machines.  This is a third shift opportunity.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Proper procedures of  mold installation including molds with SM Process
• Read work order, install proper molds with correct inserts using Mold Set-up Sheet, Scientific Molding Process Diagrams, and Mold Set-up Checklist
• Clean molds parting line, cavity/core inserts, part chute or conveyor belts, and lubrication of pins, bushings, and other moving parts
• Clean and protect against rust with light oil of mold base and machine platens when required and clean and safe work place
• Clean up after all mold installations and return mold to their proper location
• Communicate all mold/machine issues or damage before installing or removing 
• Train personnel in grinding and material handling
• Take care of tools and report any missing or broken tools
• Be back-up to Assistant Supervisor and start up injection machine
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must be an accomplished individual with a working knowledge of injection molding manufacturing floor, mold storage, and handling with minimum 1 year experience; Injection machine processes preferred
• Must understand and demonstrate all safety requirements for the use and handling of molds, injection machines, and equipment
• Must be certified and able to operate a forklift
• Must improve ability in accordance with the skilled labor training matrix
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds with heavier weights at times
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Work boots are required
