Mig/Arc Welder - 3 Needed
Job Description
We are seeking individuals to set-up and run product routed through any one of the following work centers using appropriate material, methods, and procedures. You will work first shift from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Duties:
- Locate parts, jigs, fixtures, clamps, etc. to be worked on, as needed
- Set up equipment, machines, wire feed, and amps for the thickness of material to be used to get a good weld with minimum burn through
- Complete part and make first part inspection
- Periodically check parts for compliance to standards and change equipment as needed
- Follow required safety procedures with equipment and keep equipment stored properly
- Count parts, record, and deliver product as needed to new location
- Maintain appropriate quality level for all work by checking material and/or product for obvious defects before starting a job, during the job, upon finishing the job, and notifying a lead person or supervisor anytime a quality issue arises
- Fill out all time sheets or enter into computer completely and accurately all required information for labor done and all material, components, and product moved
- Assist in training people new to position in duties that are part of the job
- Observe all personal and equipment safety rules, report any problems to Supervisor, and keep work area clean
- Perform other duties as needed
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must have Mig and Arc Welding experience on different materials, such as aluminum, galvanized steel, cold rolled steel, and castings
- Must have the ability to set up equipment, machines, wire feed, and amps for the thickness of material
- Must be able to perform periodic inspection of parts
- Must have the ability to observe all personal and equipment safety rules
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area is required
