A large health care facility is seeking Medical Receptionists who will be the initial point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and organized reception experience. In addition, you will also support the clinical team by assisting patients and performing administrative duties.  Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  There are openings at their Beachwood, Westlake, Medina, and Canton, Ohio offices.

Job Duties:

• Check-in and check-out patients, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and perform other intake duties as needed
• Obtain and record accurate patient information
• Copy, fax, and scan documents and record patient consent and related documents
• Assist in setting up and managing electronic and paper filing systems
• Interact appropriately with staff, providers, patients, and non-patients
• Assist with various treatment procedures and attending physician
• Handle all documents and medical records in a confidential manner and according to HIPPA Compliance and all applicable laws and regulations
• Perform other duties as needed

Job Requirements:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Completion of a medical receptionist program is preferred
• At least 1 year experience in a medical receptionist role, including administrative responsibilities preferred
• Must have basic understanding of clinical procedures and support tasks
• Must be computer literate with accurate data entry skills
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to pay strict attention to detail while multi-tasking efficiently and effectively
• Must be able to understand and observe legal concepts, HIPAA, confidentiality, etc.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure, act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation, and have strong emotional resilience to provide support to patients
• Must be able to exhibit a professional and positive demeanor at all times
• Must have reliable transportation with the ability to travel to different locations when needed
