Medical Receptionist
Job Description
A medical practice is seeking a receptionist to clean rooms, sanitize tools, fax documents, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, greet clients, and perform other receptionist duties. You will work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Verify patient information, record medical history, document vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history
- Complete diagnostic coding and procedure coding
- Schedule surgeries with the Hospitals; verify times with patients and prepare surgery schedule request forms
- Transcribe dictated notes
- Clean and prepare examination rooms at the beginning of the day, before and in between each patient
- Assist the Administrator in maintaining medical inventory, place orders, other procedures, and perform other duties as directed
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must have previous receptionist experience preferably in a medical environment
- Must be able to keep all documents updated in a timely manner
- The ability to transcribe dedicated notes is required
- Must have excellent communication, organizational, and telephone skills
- Must be computer literate with accurate data entry skills
- Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality
