Medical Billing Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a Billing Specialist to work answer phones, update insurance information, bill insurance companies, and perform other duties as needed. Main emphasis for this job is insurance follow-up, billing, and re-submitting the insurance claims with the correct codes. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a remote position; however, you will train in the office for about 1 week.
Job Requirements
Qualified candidates must have strong billing, insurance, co-pay and deductible experience, must have knowledge of patient responsibilities and liabilities, must be computer literate with accurate typing skills, must have strong organizational skills, and must be highly detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task. Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
