Mechanics Helper
Job Description
A local contractor is offering an immediate full-time position to a Mechanics Helper to work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Remove and replace alternators and starters
- Change oil, maintain fluid levels, and repair lights in engines and equipment
- Use power, hand tools, and pressure washer
- Fill out daily mechanics reports accurately and timely
- Keep work area clean and orderly; Sweep and empty trash cans
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must have prior mechanic experience; General welding knowledge is helpful
- Must be able to change oil, maintain fluid levels, grease, and repair lights on trucks and equipment
- Must have the ability to use drills and power saws and have own basic tools; Wrench, screw driver, pliers, hammer, and socket set
- Must be able to fill out daily reports on time and accurately
- Must be safety-conscious and dependable
