Mechanical Maintenance Technician

We have an opening for a Maintenance Technician who will perform maintenance and repairs on various machines and equipment, the facility, and handle other related tasks.  The work hours are normally Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with overtime.  However, they must also be flexible as they will mirror production times. So if production works until 4:00 they will work a 10 hour day, but if production works until 6:00 they will work a 12 hour day. Scheduled are posted the week prior, so you should be able to plan accordingly. There may also be the occasional Saturday, but again this will be communicated well in advance.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and service on machines 
• Clean machines, remove, oil, lubricate, and reinstall parts 
• Diagnose, identify causes of breakdowns, repair, and record damaged, worn, or broken parts 
• Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies 
• Schedule regular maintenance of machines 
• Install or modify new products or machines  
• Make necessary modification and implement test runs 
• Attend monthly safety meetings and training and follow all company policies 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Job Qualifications: 

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED 
• At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and forklift experience is preferred 
• Must have basic conceptual design and general computer skills 
• Must be able to operate equipment/fabrication work, rigging, handing, and working at heights 
• Must understand units of measure in standard, metric PSI, and temperature 
• Must have the ability to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts 
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 90 pounds at a time, prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that require frequent bending and stooping 
• Must wear PPE, be safety and values focused, maintain quality workmanship, and work effectively as part of a team and individually 
• Must have the ability to perform all tasks safely in accordance with company policies
