Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to work first shift.
Job Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
- Operate machinery and technical equipment as needed to troubleshoot and ensure repairs are validated
- Dismantle machinery and remove or replace defective parts
- Participate in Safety Reviews as the maintenance representative
- Perform preventative maintenance measures, basic electromechanical functions, and troubleshoot and repair or replace motor drives
- Fabricate weldments and make equipment modifications as required
- Complete inspection logs and maintain maintenance records in accordance with procedures and requirements
- Read blueprints and electrical schematics for troubleshooting and installations
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, practices, and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED and successfully completed basic electricity and arc flash training courses
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience; Instrumentation and controls experience a plus
- Experience in manual process environments and maintaining rotating equipment is required
- Must have demonstrated competency in all Maintenance Technician I functions and requirements
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills while being detail-oriented and safety-conscious
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
- Must be available for emergency call-in to maintain 24-hour operations
