Material Handler

A manufacturing company is seeking a Material Handler who will be responsible for transporting materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations.  This is a first shift opportunity working 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Duties:

• Receive, distribute, and store products as directed in designated, secure locations
• Prepare and maintain records of materials received including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information
• Review materials for quality and accuracy and review accompanying documents for accuracy
• Confirm traveler details or special instructions and expedite materials that affect the manufacturing process schedule
• Transport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods either manually and/or using hand trucks and skids
• Resolve issues, validate, approve, and forward invoices to inventory department
• Collect and properly dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have at least 2 years Material Handling experience
• Must have experience operating lift truck and overhead crane
• Must have good math and efficient time management skills 
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills while being able to pay a high attention to detail
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must wear protective PPE, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection where required and be comfortable working in all types of weather conditions
