A small manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for providing prompt, efficient diagnosis and repair of industrial equipment.  This is a full-time position working 8 hours each day between the hours of 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Duties:

• Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices
• Detect malfunctions through visual or sound observation and run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
• Repair broken or faulty machine parts and perform emergency repairs
• Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
• Align and calibrate machine parts and ensure conformance to specifications
• Monitor and report on project progress, assure weekly schedule is completed, and ensure all work practices are in OSHA standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and keep machines running smoothly
• Fill out repair logs and required OSHA logs accurately and on time
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role
• Must have a great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical, or electrical systems
• Must be able to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems, as well as, check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
• Must be familiar with various power and hand tools
• Must have strong problem-solving and organizational skills while accurately following all instructions
• Must be self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills
• Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads
• The ability to complete all company repair and OSHA logs on time is required
• Must be able to follow all company policies and safety practices
