Machinist - 2 Needed - First/Second Shifts

A local manufacturing company is seeking Machinists for full-time positions.  You will be responsible for the proficient operation of green and finish machining equipment, tool offsets, daily machine maintenance, and program editing. There is an opening on both first and second shifts.  This position is located in the Oakwood Village/Bedford, Ohio area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete required work documents; work order transactions, time sheets, parts produced report, move tags, inspection sheets, etc.
  
• Check parts for conformance to operation drawings using inspection equipment
  
• Reset wheels, tooling, and tables to maintain proper sizes by adjusting or correcting work offsets or similar adjustments
• Communicate with Team Trainers, Team Coordinators, and Tool Crib personnel to acquire necessary tools and supplies to keep the machine operating properly
• Operate primary and secondary equipment 
  
• Develop and maintain a close working relationship with all area Team Members, Departments and Managers
  
• Complete mechanical setup of wheels, dressers, centers, probes, etc.
  
• Produce and present parts as to pass first article inspection
  
• Reset tooling and maintain proper sizes by adjusting or correcting the working machine offsets
• Prepare and operate machine tools to machine metallic and non-metallic work pieces according to specifications, tooling instructions, and standard charts
  
• Read blueprint or job order for product specifications; dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions, and ascertains sequence of operations
• Ensure department objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner
• Perform other work as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Technical Training Certificate or Technical Degree is preferred
• At least 3 years machine experience within an industrial environment preferred
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, a team player, and able to work independently
• Must have a high energy level, able to deal with frequent changes, and react well under pressure
• Must be willing to make timely decisions, exhibit sound and accurate judgment, and communicate effectively
• Must have basic math skills, able to read, understand work documents, and operate measurement instruments
