Journeyperson Electrician
Job Description
A local company is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join their team. This is a first shift opportunity starting at 7 a.m. each day.
Duties:
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment
- Perform conduit bending of all types and sizes and wiring techniques
- Read prints and properly install equipment
- Use electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices
- Lift heavy objects and work in various environments
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored after use
- Follow all OSHA regulations and NEC safety protocols
- Perform other duties as needed
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 years experience as an electrician in both commercial and industrial environments
- Must have strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring techniques, and safety protocols and practices
- Must be familiar with hand and power tools used in electrical work
- Must have knowledge of high voltage systems and their installation and maintenance requirements
- Must have the ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Must be proficient using electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices
- Must have the ability to perform conduit bending of all types and sizes
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in high and/or tight spaces
- Must have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Must understand OSHA regulations and protocols and NEC safety standards
- Must have strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
