Industrial/Utility Maintenance Technician
Job Description
A local manufacturing company is offering an immediate, full-time position for a Maintenance Technician. This is a first shift opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair machines, hydraulic systems, and electrical circuits
- Determine parts required for repair and generate purchase requisition or make specific parts
- Fabricate miscellaneous items from blueprints, sketches, and instructions
- Perform building repairs and new installations
- Install machinery and equipment
- Use electronic test equipment and troubleshoot electronic control problems
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, vacuum, strip, or wax floors, spot clean windows, dispose of trash, and perform general cleaning and dusting
- Change filters and compressors, do clean-outs, pump wash tank assembly, and put-up oil/control barrels
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years electronic experience or a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year electronic experience
- Must have 2 years of troubleshooting and machine repair experience
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude
- Cutting, brazing, and welding experience is needed
- Must have a working knowledge of boilers, HVAC, brazing, welding, and carpentry
- Must have the ability to analyze, diagnose, and repair all kinds of equipment
- Must be able to read and write in English, read blueprints, and be familiar with safety rules and department procedures
- Must have the ability to lift 40 pounds and work off ladders and elevating equipment
- Must be safety-conscious, reliable, and have a solid work history
- Must have a valid driver’s license
