Induction Electrician
Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking an Induction Electrician who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems associated with induction equipment. You will work first shift with the flexibility to work occasional overtime.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, connect, and configure induction heating systems, motors, and associated control systems, set-up electrical wiring, circuits, and power supplies, and ensure all installations comply with all regulations and specifications
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on induction equipment, diagnose issues, replace or repair defective components, wiring, or connections, and perform calibration and testing of systems
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical problems in induction systems, utilize testing equipment, and collaborate with engineering and technical teams to resolve complex electrical problems
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards, ensure all electrical work is compliant with local, state, and national electrical codes, and maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Provide technical guidance to operators and maintenance teams regarding the proper use and care of induction equipment, and assist in training staff on operating and maintaining induction systems
- Maintain detailed documentation of electrical work, and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED; Technical training or certification in electrical systems, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred. Journeyman or Master Electrical license may be required
- Must have 3 to 5 years experience as an electrician, with specific experience in induction systems or industrial electrical work
- Must be proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and automated control systems is a plus
- Must have strong knowledge of induction heating principles and equipment
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to maintain electrical systems in an industrial setting
- The ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in confined or elevated spaces is needed
- Must strictly adhere to all safety protocols, industry standards, and PPE requirements
- Must be available to work other shifts, overtime, and on-call for emergency repairs when needed
- Must have steel toed boots
