Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking a HR Manager to run the daily operations of the Human Resources Department including hiring, interviewing, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.  Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the payroll and benefits processes and monitor best practices in compensation and benefits through research and up-to-date information
  • Recruit and interview qualified applicants for open positions, collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Implement and conduct new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, investigations, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance, and talent management
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local employment laws and regulations, recommended best practices, and review policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned






Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience running payroll software, preferably ADP is required
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software with the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have strong time management skills while paying a high attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Must be able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
