Dietary Aid - Short-term
Job Description
A medical facility is seeking a Dietary Aid to work a 6-week position from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Job Duties:
- Serve lunch, assuring that food is served at the correct temperature, and that each participant receives the correct, prescribed diet
- Communicate with all departments as pertains to meal delivery and coordinate the delivery of home delivered meals, supplements, and tube feeding
- Maintain record keeping of food safety, home delivered meal, and supplement logs
- Assist with food ordering and putting away stock.
- Inform supervisor of observed participant changes or issues
- Assist in departmental performance improvement initiatives, as relevant
- Follow Company Dietary Policies and local health regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must be able to use all kitchen equipment; oven, commercial blender, dishwasher, and three compartment sink
- Must be able to understand food safety procedures; knowledge of cooler, freezer, food receiving, and food re-heating temperatures
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be detail-oriented and safety-conscious
- Must have the ability to follow Company Dietary Policies and local health regulations
