Customer Service Representative
Job Description
A manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, managing orders, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, providing accurate information about products, services, and order status
- Process orders efficiently and accurately, monitor order progress, and ensure timely delivery
- Address and resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner, escalating complex cases when necessary
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and resolutions in the CRM system
- Work closely with internal teams such as sales, production, and logistics to ensure customer needs are met
- Stay informed about industry trends, pricing updates, and competitor activity to better assist customers
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Must have proven experience in customer service, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or a related industry
- Experience in plastics manufacturing, distribution, or compounding, as well as, knowledge of industry-specific logistics and supply chain processes is preferred
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams
- Must be proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment is needed
- Must have strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and customer-oriented approach, and the ability to pay a high attention to detail
- Bilingual skills are a plus
