Customer Service Rep/Dispatcher
Job Description
A transportation company is seeking an individual to enter data into the company database and answer phone calls from customers regarding services and deliveries. Additionally, you will assist with routing drivers and let customer know when routes are running late. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Provide customer service and dispatch approximately 10 local drivers
- Receive, send, and distribute emails
- Operate forklift to assist in dock operations
- Maintaining daily reports in Word, Excel, and Crown Computer System
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports
- Review drivers' paperwork and update computer entry as needed
- Adhere to company safety policies
- Interact with the drivers to review their paperwork, scan and update in the computer system, and file
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports
- Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties
- Handle daily attendance at assigned work location promptly and accurately
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have prior Customer Service and Dispatching experience, Previous transportation experience a plus
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills with quick and accurate data entry
- The ability to perform basic math functions, follow instructions, complete required training, and work independently and also as a team player is needed
- Must be able to accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner
- Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to pay a high attention to detail
- Must have the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel throughout shift
- Must be able to adhere to company safety policies
