Cold Header Machinist - 5 Needed - Third Shift

A job shop is seeking Cold Header Machinists to work third shift from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. 

Duties: 

• Operate solid and open die headers including progressive type headers and all allied production equipment
• Set up and operate thread rollers and other equipment associated with the heading operation and assist workers in making set ups
• Make simple tool change adjustments, resets, and simple length changes
• Keep headers stocked with proper, raw, and finish material to proper locations
• Make box or container, wash, package, weigh, label, seal, and wrap
• Transport and store in inventory location and maintain appropriate documents
• Make minor parts and accessories in order to facilitate the setup
• Make minor repairs on equipment and assist with Maintenance Department in major repairs
• Frequently inspect work to ensure quality production and use proper gages   

Qualifications:

• Must be able to operate and set up solid and open die headers and production equipment
• Must be able to make simple tool change adjustments, resets, and simple length changes
• Make boxes or containers, wash, package, weigh, label, seal, and wrap materials
• The ability to transport and store inventory and maintain appropriate documents is required
• Must be able to make minor parts and accessories in order to facilitate the setup, make minor repairs on equipment, and assist with Maintenance Department in major repairs
• Must frequently inspect work to ensure quality production and use proper gages
• Must be safety-conscious and detail-oriented
