A local company has an immediate need for a Clerical/Data Entry Clerk who will serve as general support for their construction news and reporting team. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Duties:

• Coordinate the flow of all incoming information, including plans and specifications, through accurate and efficient data entry
• Assist any visitor or members of the BX as needed by phone or in person
• Call appropriate contacts for project information and enter data into our internal database
• Scan and process both physical documents and electronic files in support of our construction news and reporting website
• Perform digital research on newspapers, municipal websites, design firm websites, and contractor websites
• May be asked to fill in at the front desk
• Learn and assist with apparent lows, contract awards, bidders' lists, naming plans and specifications, searching, and assisting reporters
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED; Some college is preferred
• Previous office experience required
• Must have the ability to follow directions and accurately proof-read own work
• Knowledge of Adobe or PDF equivalent programs and Windows
• Must be comfortable working on computers for a large portion of the day and have strong typing and accurate data entry skills
• Must have strong communication, telephone, organizational, and time management skills
• Must be flexible, independent, and self-motivated, with the ability to work in a team environment
