Class A/Non CDL Drivers - 4 Needed
Job Description
A moving company is seeking Class A and Non-CDL Drivers to transport and assist in loading and unloading products into and out of trucks. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Drive a 26’ box truck
- Pick up and safety transport goods and ensure contents are properly secured
- Perform inspections of vehicle prior to and following each trip
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
- Obey all traffic laws and drive according to weather/road conditions
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
- Load and unload vehicles by hand or by using a hand truck or dolly
- Ensure vehicle is kept clean and make safety a priority at all times
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Two years commercial driving experience is preferred
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Must have the ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs, requests, and assistance
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds, frequently 100 pounds, and occasionally more than 100 pounds
- Must have work boots
- Must have the ability to follow all policies and procedures
- Must have a valid drivers’ license, a clean record, a DOT Card, sense of direction, and be able to efficiently use GPS or other routing systems
- Must have a polite and friendly personality with a neat appearance
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
