An insurance company has an opening for a Claims and Customer Service Administrator who will be responsible for processing medical claims, providing client support, and working with sales and operation teams to manage their client relationships.  Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Responsibilities:

  • Import insurance carrier claims data and process client reimbursements
  • General checks and issue claims payments
  • Review and adjust claims as needed
  • Balance semi-monthly check cycles
  • Run weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports for clients and internal staff
  • Manage internal database and client files with current client information
  • Address client issues and concerns in a timely, professional manner
  • Manage participant enrollments, terminations, and changes in database
  • Generate new and replacement ID cards
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments on client matters
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and reports, metrics, and client issues
  • Perform other duties as requested

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have 2 to 3 years’ customer service experience
  • Must have knowledge of medical claims
  • Must be self-directed, proactive, have a positive attitude, and able to anticipate needs
  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be familiar with customer service principles and practices
  • Must be detail-orientated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality
