Chip Spinner/Piece Runner - Second Shift
Job Description
A manufacturing company is offering an immediate position for a Chip Spinner/Piece Runner who will have a variety of daily responsibilities including operating equipment, providing chip removal from production machines, following specific detailed instructions, and working in a safety-oriented manner. Training will be done on first shift and then you will permanently move to second shift.
Job Duties:
- Collect chips from production machine and place in wheel barrel
- Dump full wheel barrel of chips (steel, stainless, brass or aluminum) into centrifuge container and spin chips to remove oil
- Use floor scrubber on shop floor and empty trash in plant and outside
- Complete the chip spinner task sheet on a daily basis
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must have the ability to use a floor scrubber
- Must be cooperative and a team player who is self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must have excellent work habits including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic
- Must have steel toed boots and with the ability to work in a safety-oriented manner
- Must be able to repetitively bend, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
