A manufacturing company is seeking a Calibration Technician who will be responsible for the performance and/or coordination of calibration and maintenance of Monitoring & Measuring Equipment to meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.  This is a full-time opportunity working Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Calibrations of various dimensional, mechanical, hydraulic, and pressure gage
  • Maintain the gauge inventory database status and account for all equipment requiring calibration
  • Update and manage equipment status and ensure calibration requirements are accomplished as needed to support all active processes and programs
  • Repair or reorder gauges that are not working properly
  • Coordinate with managers to meet required schedule and objectives
  • Investigate equipment out of tolerance conditions
  • Complete purchase orders for specialized outside and onsite calibrations
  • Reconcile invoices, stamp control, and annual audit
  • Coordinate monthly OSI, shipping packaging, and shelf life audits
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Requirements:

  • Must have a High School Diploma with a minimum of two years having worked in a manufacturing, process, or assembly environment, preferably Aerospace
  • ASQ Certification as Calibration Technician preferred or willing to work towards achieving certification
  • Must be safety conscious and be compliant with all environmental, health, and safety requirements and use protective equipment where specified
  • Must have strong customer service skills, address issues effectively, in a timely manner, and take initiative to understand root cause
  • Must be able to read and understand instructions, procedures, and drawings
  • Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to work independently, demonstrate good interpersonal skills, and be willing to work effectively as a team player
  • Must be familiar with and able to implement 5S principles
  • Must have Microsoft Office and Outlook experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have a solid work history
