CNC and Manual Mill/Lathe Machinist - 2 Needed
Job Description
A manufacturing company is offering immediate positions for a Manual and a CNC Machinist who can set up and operate various types of machines (lathe, mill, drill) with ordinary tolerances, read blueprints, perform necessary hand tool operations, read calipers, etc., and inspect own work. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set-up, operate, and program CNC machines using FANUC Controls to accurately product parts within tolerances
- Read and follow work order instructions, change tooling, inspect machined parts, sharpen tools, and assist other shop employees in production and safety policies
- Create new production procedures, perform daily maintenance of equipment, shop floor packing, operate lift devices
- Follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner, keep work area clean, and perform special duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must have experience operating CNC and Manual Machines, and programming with Fanuc Controls
- Must have the ability to read and understand complex blueprints and work orders
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure with 1/64", perform basic math functions, and convert fractions to decimals and metric to English
- Must have a complete understanding of all hand measuring equipment
- Must be able to train other employees in production and safety policies
- Must have the ability to perform necessary hand tool operations
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision, keep work area clean, and follow all safety procedures
