Building Maintenance Technician

A non-profit organization is seeking Building Maintenance Technicians to ensure efficient daily operations at various properties, keep them clean, landscaped, and well-maintained.  Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete items on cleaning checklist and clear garbage and recycling from trash rooms and other areas
• Maintain common areas floors by mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing and clean all common areas of the properties including public restrooms
• Use supplies appropriately and monitor quantities
• Clean outside areas seasonally, snow removal per snow removal policy, cut grass on a regular basis, remove leaves and other debris, and maintain planting areas including planting, fertilizing, and weeding maintenance
• Complete work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and service requests
• Assist with unit turnovers including cleaning, repairs, and painting 
• Maintain equipment including appliances and HVAC units
• Inventory and/or purchase needed materials per procedures
• Provide regular reporting on activities and property issues 
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance experience is preferred
• Must be able to go up and down stairs, reach, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be computer literate with email experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
