Building Maintenance Technician - 2 Needed
Job Description
A local management company is seeking Building Maintenance Technicians for full-time opportunities. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oil doorknobs, locks, hinges, and gates as needed
- Repair and unclog toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains
- Replace carpet and wooden floors
- Install and repair wires, plugs, and switches
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, paint walls, and dispose of trash in common areas
- Track inventory, ensure fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency exits remain in excellent working condition at all times
- Schedule repairs and make units ready for new move-ins
- Perform grounds keeping, including light landscaping, sweeping, and pick-up
- Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have previous experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
- Must have strong manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and basic carpentry knowledge
- Must have strong physical stamina
- Must be able to pay high attention to detail and follow precise instructions
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
- Any candidate that their own tools is a plus
Only candidates that can pass a background, BMV check, and drug screen will be considered.
