We are seeking 2 individuals who can drive a 26" box truck to distribute food throughout the eight counties of the Akron/Canton Foodbank region. This is a short-term assignment until the end of the year, and you will work Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Job Duties:

• Assist in loading or reloading daily orders
• Verify accuracy of case counts, record shortages, overages, and/or product damages on invoices
• Notify partners of your estimated time of arrival and maintain communication regarding delays
• Load and off-load products, supplies and/or equipment using a power lift gate, dolly, or pallet jack
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle operation and maintenance on a daily basis
• Maintain a clean and operable vehicles, complete pre and post vehicle inspection, record conditions on inspection report, and turn in report at the end of each day
• Ensure complete compliance with all local, state, and federal motor vehicle regulations, and compliance with Foodbank and AIB Standards

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have at least 2 years professional truck driving experience, preferably in a grocery or food-related environment which includes sales and customer relations
• Must have a valid driver's license with no moving violations
• Must have the ability to operate standard warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, lift gates, reefer units, etc.
• Must be able to write reports and maintain accurate record transactions legibility in proper format 
• Must lift or carry items weighting up to 50 pounds frequently and work inside freezers and coolers
• The ability to work well with other staff members and representatives and speak to customers with poise and confidence is required
• Must be an enthusiastic professional with a high level of customer orientation and relationship building skills
• Must be able to follow all standards operating procedures, safety regulations, and employee handbook
