Assembly Shop Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking an Assembly Shop Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the assembly shop and personnel, supervise assembly shop to staff, organize a high-volume assembly shop, and perform quality control on all finished products. You will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, manage performance standards of personnel, train new and current personnel in procedures and policies, coach, counsel, and terminate shop personnel
- Schedule and assign technicians to meet production deadlines and oversee and monitor work quality of shop personnel
- Motivate and engage team to meet production standards and customer demands
- Perform necessary quality control procedures on all finished products
- Manage inventory levels of essential components
- Review incoming orders, collaborate with departments to maximize production, solve related problems, and meet deadlines
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations and addressing hazards on the floor and with personnel
- Organize and streamline processes to minimize waste
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 years of hands-on electronics hardware and wiring, as well as, management and supervisory experience
- Must have strong mechanical knowledge; drill, tap, cut metal, and fabricate aluminum panels
- Must have the ability to read a basic wiring diagram
- Must be able to safely handle sensitive electronics
- Must have excellent communication, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be able to maintain workspace in a clean and organized fashion, work in a team atmosphere, and maintain the positive attitude of both enthusiasm and productivity
- Must maintain stock of sub-assemblies and small cabinet panels, lift at least 50 pounds, and find ways to maximize production and think around issues
