Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking an Administrative Specialist to assist in all activities of the front office.  Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

Job Duties:

  • Greet and route all incoming phone calls and visitors to appropriate personnel
  • Prepare all international and domestic shipping documents, invoices, and shipment schedules
  • Maintain all customer and vendor files, assist in order and data entry, shipping, and receiving as needed
  • Back-up the Customer Service Coordinator and Office and Compliance Specialist
  • Assist in marketing projects and maintain the front office, kitchen, and conference room 
  • Train all new and existing employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have previous administrative experience
  • Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, documents, memos, and write correspondence 
  • Must be highly organized with excellent communication and strong problem solving skills 
  • Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one, small groups, clients, and other employees
  • Must have knowledge of Peachtree Accounting, Access Database, Excel spreadsheet, and Word Processing Software
  • Must have basic math skills using all units of measure, whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality
