Accounts Payable Clerk - Part-time
Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to work 5 hours per day for a total of 25 hours each week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Audit, process, and input vendor invoices, relating to purchase orders and direct pay invoices, into the computer system
- Review employee expense reports for accuracy and company policy compliance
- Respond to telephone inquiries from vendors and staff
- Analyze vendor statements, research payments, and prepare letters to vendors regarding discrepancies or in response to inquiries
- Update and add new vendors, validate bank changes by contacting the vendor directly, complete and process credit applications from vendors, and provide Tax Exempt Forms as needed
- Process approval check runs, mailings, and monthly reconciliation of commissions of the sales department according to company policy
- Work closely with Purchasing to update changes in pricing and terms and respond to related questions and monitor prices of major suppliers
- Collect data to create a TRI report, assist Financial Controller and Accounts Payable for audits, and HR Department in tracking attendance and posting job opportunity on websites and social media
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years Accounts Payable experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have an understanding of basic principles of Finance, Accounting, and Bookkeeping
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to pay a strong attention to details with a high level of accuracy
- Must have a positive attitude, be punctual, reliable, and professional
