Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a full-time position. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Three way matching of purchase order, packing slip, and invoice
  • Process check runs
  • Upload positive pay file to bank
  • Code and enter non-purchase order invoices and American Express Card bill
  • Process wires and ACH on bank website and record in accounting system
  • Add and manage new vendors, files, and maintain payable files
  • Petty cash maintenance and weekly payment selection
  • Balance Accounts Payable to general ledger and balance general ledger
  • Manage disbursements of section of weekly cash flow and Sales and Use Tax
  • Credit checks for new customers, account reconciliations in Excel, and cash management
  • Daily banking spreadsheet update and month end bank reconciliation
  • Perform other duties as needed

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Must have 5 to 10 years Accounts Payable and General Accounting experience
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of accounts payables and general accounting practices
  • Must be proficient with Word and Excel with accurate data entry skills
  • Must be honest, have integrity, and work well in a team environment
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to pay high attention to detail, prioritize workload, and solve problems
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times and demonstrate ethical conduct
