Submerged Arc Welder - Second Shift
Job Description
A manufacturing company is offering an immediate, full-time position for a Submerged Arc Welder. Work hours are second shift, from 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Job Duties:
- Weld and fabricate with steel and alloy plate
- Perform flux core and/or submerged arc welding
- Use basic shop math
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Utilize saws, shears, burning, press brake machines, plate rolls, and hand plasma torch
- Lift up to 50 pounds
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must have Flux Core and Submerged Arc welding experience
- Must have ASME and AWS Welding requirements
- Must be able to weld and fabricate steel and alloy plate
- Must be able to use hand tools, Bug-O Track Welding and Burning Systems, as well as, Press Brake Machines
- Must understand basic shop math
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and welding requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with no problems
- Must be detail-oriented and safety-conscious
