An educational facility is seeking a Maintenance/Lead Carpenter Technician to perform carpentry work of both rough and finish carpentry work related to the construction, maintenance, alteration, and repair of building components.  This is a first shift position working 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with overtime for events.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled rough and finish carpentry work
• Generate accurate cost estimates of material and labor
• Prepare, read, interpret, and work from sketches, drawings, plans and blueprints
• Perform general maintenance duties of grounds; landscaping, mowing, bush, and tree removal
• Set-up and tear down of events including moving tables, chairs, benches, etc.
• Perform other duties as needed

Job Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years experience performing skilled rough and finish carpentry work is preferred
• Must have the ability to effective use power and hand tools
• Must have the ability to efficiently operate electric drills, hammers, wrenches, pipe cutters, metal cutters, benders, pressure gauges, and volt meters
• Must be comfortable walking, standing, bending, stooping, or crouching for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in all temperatures and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to prepare, read, interpret, and work from sketches, drawings, plans and blueprints
• Must have the ability to work overtime as required for events
