A manufacturing company has a full-time position available for a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to work with team to make repairs and improvements throughout the facility.  You will handle general maintenance repairs, landscaping, pick-up trash, and perform other duties.   Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with overtime available.

Job Duties:

• Repair items, make improvements, and perform other maintenance duties
• Perform assigned janitorial duties throughout the day
• Use hand and power tools and perform basic daily pm's on machines and equipment 
• Follow and complete work orders and job assignments and follow lock out procedures
• Fill oil and grease for both mixers and mills every morning and empty oil buckets
• Visually inspect machines on a daily basis and report any problems or issues
• Clean-up oil and dust from machines and electrical enclosures 
• Change light bulbs, lubricate chains and grease bearings, clean maintenance room and tools, and perform monthly fire extinguisher and safety
• Assist maintenance personal and perform other maintenance duties as needed 

Job Qualifications:

• Must have prior maintenance and mechanical experience
• Must have basic experience using hand and power tools
• Must be able to follow and complete work orders and perform daily tasks on machines and equipment
• Must be comfortable working in a dirty environment, cleaning maintenance rooms and tools, and changing light bulbs
• Must be able to visually inspect machines 
• Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.  Any candidate who may have spent some time as a resident manager of an apartment building would be ideal.
