Die Cast Set-up/Operator

A manufacturing company is seeking an individual who can set-up and operate Zinc and Aluminum Die Cast Machines.  Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with overtime as needed.  

Responsibilities:

• Set-up all job orders and perform die changes per schedule
• Aluminum and Zinc Die Cast set-up
• Perform die changes in an efficient manner in order to reduce downtime
• Operate cranes and lift trucks to transfer dies
• Organize and prioritize in order to meet goals to reduce machine downtime
• Perform all required quality checks and obtain first piece approval
• Review and recommend process improvement opportunities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years experience in Zinc & Aluminum Die Casting is preferred
• Foundry or equivalent experience is required
• Must be able to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists
• Must be proficient with the functions and capabilities of Die Cast/Foundry Machinery
• Must have strong mechanical abilities and able to perform heavy manual labor
• Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to solve problems and multi-task
• Must be able to work together as a team, be organized, and able to prioritize
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must have steel toed footwear
• Must be able to work overtime when needed 
• Must be comfortable working with hot metals and in a hot and dirty environment
